The sporting clays course at Carlisle Fish and Game was the first in Central Pennsylvania, and one of the first in the state. The program was established by the Board of Directors on September 19, 1988, and startup began in October. Word of our new operation spread rapidly, and business was booming within months.
Our sporting clays program operates on a course with a variety of targets from open field to wooded presentations. Sometimes called “shotgun golf”, clay targets are in flight from simulated hunting situations and challenge your shotgun shooting skills. Our course is changed approximately every 3 weeks to keep the interest of our shooters and for preservation of the course.
